My wife Lisa and I have had the privilege of praying for people and witnessing some truly amazing results in the area of healing. I remember, as a young believer, how much effort I would put into praying for the sick, thinking that if I worked hard enough, God would move on their behalf.
Over time, I learned something important about God’s design. My wife and I run a company where we handle various design projects—from branding to books and apps.
In our industry, the standard is to keep things clean and simple. That realization hit me hard recently: our approach to prayer should be the same—simple and grounded in faith.
Our mandate is to pray for the sick, plain and simple. I often hear people say things like, ‘I have a healing ministry,’ or ‘I have a prophetic ministry,’ or ‘I have a prayer ministry.’ Lately, I’ve been praying that I would have a Jesus ministry.
Before I expand on that, let me share a powerful scripture from the New Living Translation:
John 1:14—So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
This is the prayer for our ministry: that we would be known for unfailing love and faithfulness in all our relationships, even with the people we pass by every day. This is the ministry we want to be consumed by—Jesus.
It’s simple: we live in worship and represent that unfailing love daily.
